Undercoat/ primer used in order to enhance adhesion of plasters, decrease substrate absorption and allow to perform thin-layer plasters. Reduces possibility of discolouration occurrence on their surfaces. The undercoat/primer comprises External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS) - FOVEO TECH S or FOVEO TECH W as an undercoat: prior to mineral, acrylic, acrylic and silicone, silicate and silicone plasters as well as mosaic and regular cement or cement and lime ones. For interior and exterior use. Can be applied on substrates made of concrete, cement, cement and lime, gypsum, cardboard gypsum panels, particle boards etc.
The substrate must be dry, solid, dust and dirt free as well as free from any biological (fungi, moulds, mosses) and chemical aggression etc. All sorts of dirt must be removed by using water under high pressure. Old plasters and paint coats with poor adhesion must be removed. Fill in holes with Adhesive Mortar KS 10, KS 20 or KU 11, KU 21 (max. to 6.0 mm in one coat) or a regular plaster mortar. In order to reinforce substrates with poor adhesive properties, highly absorptive or chalky (i.e. leaving dust traces after palm rubbing), it’s necessary to apply Acrylic Primer GA 10. New cement or cement and lime plasters must be painted minimum 28 days after application whereas concrete after 3 months, within the insulation system the reinforced coat must be seasoned min. 3 days. All substrates must be stabilized as far as moisture is concerned and the curing process completed.
Undercoat/primer must be mixed carefully and applied by paintbrush. If necessary, dilute it by adding max. 5% of water. Drying period of the undercoat/primer - approximately 2 hours, depending on application conditions (ambient temperature and air humidity, substrate absorption etc). In the event of application prior to dark acrylic, acrylic and silicone, silicate and silicone or mosaic plasters, the paint must be tinted with pigments similar to the plaster colour in order to avoid colour contrast in case of plaster rubbing.
Apply at the substrate and ambient temperature between +5ºC and +25ºC. Do not apply on hot substrate. During application and drying it’s necessary to avoid direct sunlight, strong wind and rain. Protect the painted surface till drying out by applying a foil or a thick protective mesh. Substrate and ambient temperature during painting and over the course of 24 hours must not be lower than +5ºC. Clean the tools with water immediately after application. Works must be carried out in accordance with principle construction rules, standards and HSE regulations. In the event of combining the product with other products, the manufacturer shall not bear any responsibility
